Put it out there.
The idea you have been sitting on.
Put it out there.
That person you have been meaning to reach out to.
Reach out.
The project you want to start.
Begin.
What do you keep coming back to?
What is tugging at your sleeve asking to be shared?
What is stopping you from asking, sharing, and starting?
What is getting it the way of showing up and reaching out?
For me, it’s usually being rejected.
I recently worked on a project which turned out to be the perfect cure for my fear of rejection. For several years I travelled busy hospital wards, waiting rooms and staff rooms. There I invited hundreds of people to spend 10 mins with me creating together.
Roughly 9 out of 10 people I asked, would say NO.
Some looked at me like I was an alien.
Others politely declined.
By ‘NO!’ number 9, I would think about giving up.
Then I would ask just one more person…who said YES!
It was magic. As we connected, the busy world around us disappeared. Our conversation made us both light up – knowing we are not alone.
That one YES! changed everything.
I left with my heart glowing
Immediately forgetting about the ‘NO’s’ that came before it!
There will always be rejections, but it’s the ‘YES’s’ that count in the end.
Put it out there – You never know what might come back.

Put yourself first
I want to encourage the radical act of putting yourself first. What if putting yourself first actually supported you AND everyone around you? What if choosing you first, inspired someone else to put themselves first too? How might that one choice change the world?...
